My experience boarding my cat here in June was absolutely terrible. I urge all pet owners to think twice before letting your furry friend stay here! Firstly, I didn't hear from my cat at all the day after boarding. I've boarded my cat at other hotels more than ten times, and this was the first time I'd had to actively check on her after a stay. She checked in at 7:30 PM on June 22nd, and by the early morning of June 24th, there was still no news (Picture 1). I had to make an overseas call to contact her before she finally replied. I've never had to make an overseas call during a stay before; the hotel always proactively reports back. Pet owners shouldn't worry, or at least they should get a reply within a few hours. What kind of cat hotel is this that doesn't reply for a day or two?! (Picture 2) I sent a message at 7 PM on June 24th, and by noon and 8 PM on June 25th, there was still no reply! How can anyone feel at ease?! Concerned that my cat was still there, I didn't want to have a conflict with the hotel, and the entire trip abroad was filled with anxiety. When I returned home, I went to pick up my cat around noon. The entire hotel smelled terrible. Only my cat's litter box was cleaned because I was picking him up. All the other cats' litter boxes were overflowing with excrement. In some cases, the feces were even on the floor outside the litter box (I didn't photograph it). My question is, it was already noon, and any cat lover seeing cats confined to a pile of feces with no clean litter boxes available (picture 3), wouldn't they clean everything immediately upon entering the hotel? How could they leave it like that until noon? Cleaning those litter boxes should only take 20 minutes at most! It's already bizarre that the hotel allowed four cats to stay in such a small space—it was incredibly cramped and filthy! (Please zoom in on picture 3 to see the appalling litter box.) Even if the guest insisted on four cats, it means the hotel should have cleaned the litter boxes more frequently, or at least cleaned them early the next morning. I saw this scene when I went to pick up my cat around noon, and I only photographed one room; the others were even worse! The cramped space is just like a cat hotel where three cats live. It's terrifying! I'm so angry at the thought of my cat having to use a dirty litter box for a whole week if it lived there. I'm leaving this comment so other cat owners can know.
The manager and staff were incredibly attentive. The manager was exceptionally professional, meticulously checking the cats' health and offering advice from the moment they first arrived. I brought my two cats this time. One of them is older and has mild hyperthyroidism requiring medication. Besides diligently reporting their water intake, urine output, and bowel movements daily, the manager also took photos to document their stay. There's a 24-hour security camera to monitor the cats if needed. Most importantly, they cooperated by administering their medication twice a day. Both cats remained remarkably calm until it was time to go home (they even seemed reluctant to leave). I highly recommend this cat hotel! The environment, service, price, and professionalism all deserve 5 stars!
While we're abroad, we have a nanny come to our home for regular check-ups. If we need any assistance with small tasks, they'll handle them and provide photos as a record to reassure the parents. It's wonderful! 😊
Our cat, Matcha went to stay for 5 nights. I felt very reassured by the regular updates of her progress and having access to a live video link also put my mind at rest. They took really good care of Matcha and she settled in very quickly. So much so, she didn't want to come home! Haha! They also very kindly took care of my pet turtle too. Thank you. We will always leave Matcha in your care in the future.
